Old Lincoln Days 2024 is set to take place from August 2 to August 4 in Lincoln, New Mexico. Vendors, a mobile museum, and live music highlight this annual event celebrating the history and folklore of the area, featuring re-enactments of Billy the Kid’s last escape and the infamous Lincoln County War.  

 

"The Last Escape of Billy the Kid” Pageant Performances: Fri., Aug. 2, 8:30 p.m., Sat., Aug. 3, 8:30 p.m., Sun., Aug. 4, 1p.m."The Last Escape of Billy the Kid” is a Folk Pageant centering around the life of the legendary outlaw, Billy the Kid. Hosted by Billy the Kid Pageant, it was first presented in the year 1940. The episodes of the pageant are based on historical facts of the notorious Lincoln County War, and in particular its focus is centered upon the best remembered of its fighters, Billy the Kid.

Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12, and free to children five and younger. Tickets are only available at the gate beginning at 10 a.m. and cash is recommended, though credit cards will be accepted if internet service is reliable. A musical performance is included in the ticket price: Fri., Aug. 2, 7 p.m. Tanner Houston from Cloudcroft, NM; Sat., Aug. 3, 7 p.m. the La Ultima; Sun., Aug. 4, 10 a.m. the parade begins; Sun., Aug. 4, 11:30 a.m. the Doso Dirtbags perform

Our ride will start at the Pilot Flying J truck stop located at 9220 Broadway SE with KSU at 0800.  Southbound I-25 with our first pitstop in Lemitar at the truck stop.  This leg will be about on hour with a distance of 60 miles.  Continue southbound on I-25 and exit at US 380 heading east.  Second pitstop will be in Carrizozo stopping at the Alon gas station.  This leg will be about 1 hour 16 minutes and approximately 83 miles.  Head east on US 380 where will arrive in Lincoln which will take about 38 minutes and 33 miles.

Open Event: This event is open to Chapter members, National H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.  All riders and passengers must sign a release. 

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. Turquoise Trail Chapter #2015 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Turquoise Trail Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
